Hi! I'm Mandy Hamerla

An award-winning Leadership Mentor, trusted HR Director, and founder of Modern HR. I’ve spent over 20 years helping managers and business leaders navigate the real challenges of leading people — from first-time team leaders to senior directors.

I believe brilliant managers change everything — they shape culture, drive performance, and make work feel better for everyone. But too often, managers are thrown in the deep end with zero training, no support, and unrealistic expectations. That’s not fair — and it’s not how great leadership is built.


I created the Brilliant Managers Course because I’m passionate about helping managers step up with confidence, lead with clarity, and handle the tough stuff without losing sleep. When managers are supported, everyone thrives — the team, the business, and the manager themselves.
